Mithril II |
|
The Mithril II comes standard with a 2" taller main compartment, elongated side pockets, 2" hip belt strap webbing, underbody straps, and loops that allow the underbody straps to double as vertical compression straps. It has the following specs:
Please remember that the design of the pack requires that the main compartment be firmly stuffed in order for it to retain it's load carrying capacity. While using the the underbody straps as vertical compression straps will allow you to reduce a Mithril II's main compartment to about the size of a standard Mithril's, you should consider your need for space carefully. I advise you not to order a lot more space than you normally need. If you do, the pack won't function as advertised, you won't be happy with it, and you'll end up having to pay Rhia to modify it. If you don't know how much main compartment space you need, try stuffing the gear, food and clothing that you normally carry in your main compartment into some sort of container with a known volume. The base price of the standard Mithril II is $275.00. Custom options are roughly the same as for the Mithril. Pictures will be available if I can ever get my new Nikon working correctly (beware, potential E5700 owners; for shame, Nikon). Please remember that the design of the pack requires that the main compartment be firmly stuffed in order for it to retain it's load carrying capacity. While using the the underbody straps as vertical compression straps will allow you to reduce a Mithril III's main compartment to about 3,100 cubic inches, you should consider your need for space carefully.
