~ Ordering a Gearskin ~

First thing you'll need to do is decide on the material that you want us to use.  Choices are:

~

1) Sil/nylon an ultra light weight material (approx.) 1.1 oz per sq. yd.  Current colors - grey,

This material is amazingly strong for it's weight but it will not last as long as heavier materials.

That's the trade off weight vs. durability

If you are not going to be carrying over 25 lbs for long periods of time and your careful with you gear then the sil/nylon will probably work well for you.

~

2) Coated Ripstop 1.9 oz per sq. yd.  Current colors - Dark blue, plum

This material will hold up well and is a good choice for those that are more concerned about less weight with a good amount of durability. It will probably show signs of wear if you are carrying over 25 lbs. for long periods of time and not particularly careful with your gear.

~

3) 200 denier Oxford 4 oz per sq. yd.  Current colors - Black, plum, royal blue, sky blue, red.

This material is a good choice for those that want more durability and are not as concerned about the weight. It will hold up well to all but the most extreme conditions and abuse

~

4) 400 denier Pack cloth 8 oz per sq. yd.  Current colors - Black, plum, royal blue, red.

A good choice for the most durable material. This stuff for the most part is not going to wear out unless you are on a mission to destroy it and even then it will take awhile. Probably would show signs of wear if a bear got a hold of it or it slid down a good sized cliff.

~

Keep in mind ...

The overall weight of each Gearskin increases by about 2 oz with each material.

We are always refining our design to obtain the most durable product for the least weight.

(Which is a paradox in itself)

If you want a specific color...just ask and we'll do our best to get it.

~

Then...we will need an outline of your torso showing your neck, upper arms, waist, hips, navel and where you wear you hip belt.

Your height, weight, chest, waist and hip measurements.

~

This really isn't that tough. Tape or pin a piece of newspaper or similar substance to a wall stand with you back against it and have a friend take a marker of some type and trace your outline as close to your actual size as possible.

Remember, it's not rocket science. This will give us the distance between the hip belt and where we attach the shoulder straps.

Of course, you are always welcome to come visit us and get a personal fitting. Plan to do some hiking while you are here if you can.

~

Finally...We'll need a check or money order made out to Moonbow.

The Gearskin is currently $180.00.  If you want a mesh pocket on the back that is $15.00.

Let us know if you want any other loops or pockets and we'll give you a price for those.

Shipping is $10.00.

Pack cover is $32.00 and a pack liner is $25.00 if you want any of those.
